I fill it with HOT water from the sink, bring it to the shower before a shave, stick it to a glass section of the shower and presto. I remove when done, empty it so it can dry, avoiding any mold. This is the one reason I do not want a permanently mounted option, eventually they will turn disgusting. Does this last forever? No it will not. It's plastic. It slides off mount to empty. I just got this for my boyfriend and he loves it - says it’s the best shower mirror he’s had! **Q: Using it in an outside wooden shower down the jersey shore. Can I screw into the wall instead of using suction cups?** A: If your remove the suction cups which is super easy, the slot will allow your to hand it by two screws like a picture. **Q: Will the adhesive on the larger unit it work on glass?** A: Glass is a better surface than my fiberglass shower stall as far as adhesion goes. I have to be careful not to press too hard when I place the mirror back on the wall after filing the mirror with hot water. If I press too hard, it is very difficult to pry off the wall for the next shave. **Q: Does the small mirror attach to the wall just by suction cups or is there adhesive also?** A: The mirror affixes to the wall using two suction cups that are attached to the top "rail" on the back of the mirror, but the original product does not include any adhesive. If you wanted to modify the mirror to use an adhesive, I believe you could do so rather easily. The suction cups are detachable (without damaging them, should you later change your mind), and you could run a thin, foam, double-sided adhesive strip (like those available in home improvement stores) along the top "rail" where the suction cups were attached, and press the mirror with the adhesive on to the shower or bathtub wall. This was a relatively inexpensive shave/shower solution and it does its job well; a recommended buy! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Actually Works: This Mirror is Truly Fogless. *by S***N on August 1, 2019* After using the Shave Well "Fog-Free" Travel Mirror for more than 4 years, I finally got tired of constantly wiping it off while trying to shave in the shower. It was not fog-free. Then, after reading numerous reviews during the last month or so, I decided to try a replacement: I got this truly fogless travel mirror designed by ToiletTree. It actually works. The only time it has started fogging up on me is when the water in the back has cooled down a little from the shower window that I place the mirror next to. (I don't even use the suction cups. Our shower has a window at the perfect height for me to just set the mirror on the windowsill while shaving.) So then all I have to do is pick up the mirror, dump the water out of the rectangular slot in the back, and then add new shower water. Then I set it back on the windowsill of the shower and use the provided squeegee to wipe it clean with just two quick swipes. It's then fogless for at least the next 10 minutes. Enough time to fully shave. Thanks ToiletTree for paying attention to physics and actually designing this. It puts to shame all the other brands of "fogless" mirrors that ignore physics and use a coating. I wish I had heard of your product years ago, instead of getting frustrated multiple times per week for more than 4 years while using a shaving mirror that was claimed by the manufacturer to be fog-free but wasn't. The only reasons I didn't give the ToiletTree travel mirror a full 5 stars are the following: 1. The glass mirror seems too fragile to take with me in checked luggage. The travel case is just a very thin fabric sack. To not shatter, the mirror needs a case that is rigid and form-fitting, with cushioning material inside. 2. The mirror I received distorts the shape of my face, like a "funhouse mirror" at a carnival as some of the other reviewers commented.
