The plastics material that was stretched across the jar underneath the lid (that sealed the contents in) had either torn during manufacture/shipment, or a piece of it had peeled off the underside of it, because a small piece of it was imbedded in the cream itself. We just pulled the piece out and discarded it. **Q: Is this cream non-comedogenic (will it clog the pores on your face)? Thanks!** A: I've been using this on my hands, face, and anywhere that needs extra moisture for a couple years now and it's never clogged my pores. I tend to have oily skin with the ocassional winter dry patch or so and this cream is fantastic. I'll apply it by rubbing a dab into my hands and whatever residue remains, I'll rub onto my face. **Q: can you use this on a 4 month old baby?** A: I used it on my son from about 5 months on. It’s the only thing that worked for his super dry, cracked skin in his chubby baby rolls and eczema. **Q: Can I use it around the skin of my eyes? Is it ophthalmologist tested? How about their face cleaner and the wash?** A: I have no idea if it has been ophthalmologist tested. I do use it around my eyes and it causes no eye irritation for me at all. I have very sensitive eyes and so I am very sensitive to products that I put around my yes. I am happy that I have finally found a product that I can use around my eyes so that I am not forced to go out and spend a lot of money on a hydrating eye product. I have not used their face cleaner or wash, so I cannot say anything about those two products. I liked it because it's supposed to be gentle, as well as helpful for sensitive skin and other issues. I sometimes get flare-ups of eczema on my hands, as well as other areas, I wanted to see if this cream may be helpful. I love the size of this tube of cream, as it's quite large. I also like the flip-top cap, as it makes it easy to open and apply. I will note that the tube was sealed on the inside of the cap before using, which I very much appreciate. Also, there were no leaks, cracks or damages to this product. This cream is thick, though it absorbs well. The first time I used it, I squeezed out a little too much for my hands. I will say that a little bit goes a long way, and it does take some massaging to get the cream fully absorbed. The cream is white in appearance, but it blends in well to my skin tone. So far, I've had a good experience with this cream. It's been very helpful for dry or itchy areas of my skin, and provides relief right away. My kids also have used this for minor skin problems (one had a slight rash, and the other has some eczema issues as well); this cream has been gentle enough for them as well. I think this is a great quality product, and a wonderful skin cream. I'm very pleased with how much is in the tube, as well as it's effectiveness.
