When this arrived, it felt really firm and not like it would help at all as something to kneel on. But I gave it a try while kneeling on the floor to groom my dog, whom it is much easier to do a big brushing of him when he is laying on the floor then trying to get him to stand up for it all. I was surprised that this did indeed make the task easier and would recommend it.
