Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah follow their passions as they enter New Orleans. My only complaint is that I have to wait for the next book. I would love to see this three book series end up in a feature film. This was an easy read and I was able to finish in two sittings. It might be a bit more complicated if I didn't already know the characters and knew their background and origins. Surely this is a love letter to the "The Original" fans who crave every bit of information we can get on these compelling vampires. This follows an untold story of Elijah, Klaus and Rebekah Mikaelson as they first come to New Orleans, Louisiana. Klaus sees a woman, whom is forbidden to him because her engagement. She is a half witch and half werewolf and her marriage to a prominent werewolf family.
