Not sure at the full retail price, but it stayed on tight for me while snorkeling in the surf.I would say that this is not needed when the sun is really bright and the water is really clear. But when the water is deep or cloudy blue, It will really help bring out the reds that can get lost underwater. It has a little string to attach to the camera if it falls off, or if you want to take it off but keep it hand... however, it can untied right away for me, so be sure to really tighten the knot. It also came with a little draw string bag to keep it from getting scratched.If you need a red filter, this will do fine, but I would say its not a necessity in most cases. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good filter for a good price *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on January 14, 2017* Easy to clip on and stays on very well, even in rough water entry. The way the filter clips on to the lens leaves a teeny space in between itself and the lens which when it hits a just right angle, allows light in and reflects off and creates this annoying ultra red hue to the shot. As long as the sun/light source doesn't get into it the wrong way, it works great and really gets those colors back into your underwater shots. Doesn't work well 10 feet or shallower...too much red hue.Overall I think it is a great product for the price point. ### ⭐ Incorrect Production Description - Does Not Work 2 to 15 Feet *by F***Y on Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2015* First, I didn't realize it when the product arrived but the packaging lists this product use from 12 to 75 feet not the 2 to 15 feet as listed on Amazon. They need to update the product description. If I would have know this I would have never purchased this product in the first place. I used this several time in Hawaii at 5 to 15 feet range and it washed out everything pink/red. Thankfully I took a lot of video with and without the lens so it wasn't a complete disaster.If you need something for deeper water it probably works great however for the depths listed on Amazon it was worthless. The only positive thing I can say about this filter is that attachment and removal is super easy and can be done with one hand under water.
