I liked that it had a splash guard but you still have to train your boys to point their privates down or lean forward on to their knees. When they're old enough to stand though, the splash guard is great for containment if you have them aim at it. We bought this for my four year old son because we had to travel and with this whole COVID situation, I didn't feel safe taking him inside gas stations or rest areas to use the restrooms since he's short and god knows what he'll be touching!
