    Loved them all!!!

"R is for Rebel" is the latest (but I hope not the last) book in the Unruly Royals Series by Megan Mulry. I'll have to be honest and say I loved all of them so much that I did not stop to write a review until now because I wanted to get on with reading the next book!In this book, we dig into the lives of Abigail and Eliot. Abigail is the youngest of the Heyworth siblings and has always done things her own way...which have been far different from the others. From a 10-year relationship with a female to her devotion to those less fortunate in the world, Abs does it her own way.Eliot, on the other hand, is older, rich, polished and professional. The fact that they have very little in common is what makes this such a great story. If you've never read a book by Megan Mulry, go back to book 1 and purchase ALL OF THEM. Start at the beginning. You will love her storytelling, her ability to keep you hooked, the way she intertwines the American and English (and later French and more) ways of life is completely engaging. I'm so sad I'm finished and really hope she plans to continue with more of their family members! (There are still cousins!!)

Love the series but I have a bone to pick with the language in this most recent book

*by G***N on Reviewed in the United States on March 8, 2014*

Book no, 1 in this series, "A royal pain", really works for me. I get a huge kick out of the contrast between nobly born Max's decorous way of talking versus the heroine's much down to earth style of talking (and cursing!). I've gotten attached to all the characters, the whole family so I've enjoyed all four books. My one quibble is that the characters' language has become much more mannered in this last book. For example, towards the end, Max says = "The mere fact that you remain interested after all you've seen of our putative mental health means that you're either very brave or very deranged."I mean, who uses "putative" in regular conversation?I hope Ms. Mulry will keep on writing. I really do like all the books in the series, no. 1 especially. I just think the last book could have used the help of a ruthless editor.

    Excellent series...ending in a sigh

Wish it had ended with an exclamation point. Really enjoyed all four of the stories and the heroes/heroines, and I anticipated Abigail and Elliot's story with relish. The idea that a modern day heroine (or hero, for that matter) could have a complicated sexuality is one not seen before in a "mainstream" type romance. That being said, Mulry leaves an ending for these two that I found rather rushed and ambiguous, and frankly unsatisifiying. It's almost as if she lost interest in these characters and was ready to move on to next thing. Still, Mulry writes well and in a never ending sea of mediocre crap, this series is clever and refreshing. I recommend that you Read them all.
