While trying to reduce the use of plastic we have tried a few different types of straw such as paper ones, we found these just went soggy very quickly! And metal ones which give a funny taste. The glass straws are great! They are wide enough that carbonated drinks don't just fizz up and they don't go soggy. One of our concerns about using glass straws was that they'd be fragile and our children would break them easily, this however hasn't been a problem as they are thick enough and well enough made that they will withstand little hands.
