Originally I thought they are just lighter color compared to regular dark/grey lens, as from the pictures on the listing, the lens look lighter. Therefore I assume that the seller did not use the correct wording due to his/her language level. After I got the product, to my surprise, the lens are actually photochromic! These type of lens get darker when exposed to sunlight and return to clear state in the absence of activating light.For the lens of this particular item, the range of darkness change is not full scale. If I were to give a number to it, from a scale from 0 to 10 (0 means complete clear, 10 means regular grey sunglasses), these lens change darkness from about 2 to 7. That is to day, they don’t return to complete clear in the absence of light, but I found it clear enough that I feel comfortable wearing them at night for driving, since the polar lens would help to block out some light and head beams from traffic. On the other side of the spectrum, under medium sunlight, the lens reach max darkness, which means they don’t darken more at strong sunlight. I wish the lens can be a little darker, particularly when I go out during noon time.The photochromic lens are much more expensive than regular lens. The fact that they are priced the same as other lens in this listing means you got the photochromic at a discount! What a deal!In addition, the frame has spring hinges for the arms. This is the best part I love about this item. They don’t require any adjustment, and already have give and take to give a comfortable “squeeze” of the “glasses hug”. For standard hinge of some other sunglasses, I might feel a bit too tight, but for spring hinge, there is no such problem. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best sunglasses I've ever bought!! *by D***E on April 19, 2019* These are some of the best sunglasses I've ever bought, they fit well, stylish, not heavy on the bridge of my nose, they have an expensive feel to them and they do a great job blocking the sun.  I've had light sensitivity issues since getting Laski done on my eyes and these sunglasses really hit the mark.  I usually buy lenses that are darker because of my sensitivity but with these I don't need the darker lenses.  I'm now stylish, I'm able to drive without any impairments, they haven't fogged up, and they don't feel like they're on (super light).  The case that they come looks really nice as well... from out the box you get an expensive feel to these, I highly recommend them, I'm already buying a couple more in different colors.  5 stars! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Look and feel like expensive glasses *by E***A on December 11, 2018* You would never guess these glasses were only $15.
