Review: Exactly what I needed for PT - This mat was exactly what I needed for my physical therapy, which is for a hip and requires me to be on the ground a lot. Previously I tried yoga mats but while they are good for protecting from a hard floor for yoga, I did not find them as comfortable to lay on and workout. This mat is easy to fold and unfold. Has built in handles for carrying (like walking with a giant fabric briefcase), and is covered with a nylon cover that is easy to wipe down after a workout. I thought the fabric would be uncomfortable but it isn’t. It’s rough to the touch when you first feel it with your hand, but when you’re using it, it’s no problem. I also wasn’t how sure a 24” wide mat would fit for a workout but there’s more than enough room. This isn’t solid foam rubber (like a super thick yoga mat)…it’s more memory foam type of foam…you know, the kind used for filler…but it is very sturdy and supportive. That said, I feel like this is going to flatten over time. But maybe it’ll prove me wrong. I’ve only used it about a week so far. This mat was exactly what I needed for my physical therapy, which is for a hip and requires me to be on the ground a lot.
