The lower panes in the window are low enough for houses opposite to see in. We have had to keep the curtains closed when getting changed etc.The end result is a room in darkness.This film allows keeping the curtains open during the day, as it pretty much stops any view in, as long as it is brighter outside than in. It's not an issue at night, as you'd close the curtains anyway.The first pane I did, I left a spec of dust, so I can still see it. I used a squegee on the 2nd window, before spraying more soapy water on both the window, and the film. Squeezed out excess bubbles, using a credit card wrapped in a micro-fibre cloth. Even so there seemed to be a bit of a bubbly finish when I was done. However, a couple of days later the end result is pretty flat. It's not 'optical quality', but it's good enough that we can't be bothered to order some sealed units with mirroring built-in. For the money. It's good.I see that some reviewers have had issues with the film falling off. I don't know if it makes a difference, but we did use a bit of washing up soap in our water (ecover)... about the same concentration as used for washing up. Also, we did push out the bubbles with the card.... maybe that also pushes out the water, when there are no bubbles. Equally, it could be variation in product quality.
