This BIC Cristal Multicolour pack contains 15 pens in a cocktail of thirteen different hip eye-catching colours (purple, pink, lime green, turquoise, blue, red, green, black, orange, gold, raspberry, mint, brown) plus one fluorescent yellow and one fluorescent orange. Brighten up your notebook with a pen that has stood the test of time. French entrepreneur Marcel Bich started a writing revolution in 1950 when he introduced the first BIC Cristal ballpoint pen. Now called the BIC Cristal Original, it offered fast smudge-free writing. Review: No dupes - Definitely nice for artistic color work when ballpoint drawing - A bit pricey as ordered compared to the Bic color variety packs you may find at the stores. However to my satisfaction there are no duplicate colors in the set, which makes them more useful for ballpoint art. The thing in particular is that this set has the colors that are generally hard to find from Bic otherwise. (Brown, yellow, orange, straw/gold, red-orange.) The Bic sets found at most retail stores often have dupes of the other colors, which limits what you can do with them. Also because they're more semi-opaque than translucent, you need more of the secondary colors to achieve a more complete color range gradient. And they're different than gel when it comes to drawing because you can do subtle shading by lightly putting down the gum-based ink vs. the full saturated color that gel pens typically put to the paper. (Draws more like a pencil, but still it's own thing. If you do art with these, I think you'll get what I mean.)

A bit pricey as ordered compared to the Bic color variety packs you may find at the stores. However to my satisfaction there are no duplicate colors in the set, which makes them more useful for ballpoint art. The thing in particular is that this set has the colors that are generally hard to find from Bic otherwise. (Brown, yellow, orange, straw/gold, red-orange.) The Bic sets found at most retail stores often have dupes of the other colors, which limits what you can do with them. Also because they're more semi-opaque than translucent, you need more of the secondary colors to achieve a more complete color range gradient. And they're different than gel when it comes to drawing because you can do subtle shading by lightly putting down the gum-based ink vs. the full saturated color that gel pens typically put to the paper. (Draws more like a pencil, but still it's own thing. If you do art with these, I think you'll get what I mean.)

These are my favorite pens. I love the way they write smoothly with a thick tip and the color range. It’s unfortunate that this is the only pack I can find with certain colors in it and that it’s kinda expensive. However, I found the product worth it for those few specialty colors as a lover of this type of pen! If you enjoy this style of pen and like thick pen tips, I most definitely recommend purchasing!
