This Banjo HB100 barbed hose adapter is made of glass-reinforced polypropylene and has a 1" barbed connection on one end and a 1" male NPT threaded connection on the other to connect a tube or a hose to a female NPT threaded connection. This schedule 80 adapter is made of glass-reinforced polypropylene for rigidity, lightweight, dimensional stability, and resistance to high impact, heat, corrosion, and most chemicals. The barbed connection creates a tight seal on a tube or hose, and the male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threaded end connects with a female NPT threaded connection. The integral 1-3/8" hex nut provides a gripping surface for a wrench when tightening the fitting. The maximum working pressure for this fitting is 150 pounds per square inch (psi) at 70 degrees F. Review: good fitting - this is a heavy duty plastic fitting. I used to on some rubber hose I installed for a water feature. The piping runs from the pump in the pump vault to the basalt column, all of it in the walls of the water feature. I do not have to worry about traffic on top of the hose or the fittings. The threads are perfect. The barb is the same as the expensive plumbing fittings we use at work. I dont see these ever causing me any issues. Happy with the purchase.

The threads are perfect. The barb is the same as the expensive plumbing fittings we use at work. I dont see these ever causing me any issues. Happy with the purchase.
