Review: Nice speaker - I've been replacing speakers in my ancient 5.1 system from 2002. This was the final piece of the puzzle and it's doing the job nicely. With surround speakers, it's difficult to say exactly what they're capable of since they're only in use part of the time and not performing a full range of sound, but there's clarity on dialogue and vocals and a warm, natural sound. I chose this model because the width fits right into my TV stand. It's a low-profile design. Without the cover on, it's a bit boring as I have some Klipsch speakers in my setup now, with their pretty copper cones, but even though a center speaker, it's not a center of attention looks-wise. Great price too.

**Q: What is the height, and depth of the unit for sizing/install under a 6 inch depth mantle?**
A: Product Dimensions:  3.5 deep x 15 long x 4 inches height

**Q: Does the the grill cover come off.**
A: I actually bought this for my dad, so I don't have it in front of me to be absolutely sure. However, I'm fairly confident I took the grill off while setting up his system, just to take a look at the speakers. Wish I could be more conclusive, hope this helps some.

**Q: Sound only comes from tweet, did I get a bad one?**
A: make sure your speaker wire is correct from the amp to the speaker,  red to red  black to black, assure your center channel works with another speaker in the test mode of the amplifer.   IF all still results in only tweeter sound then I would say you got a bad one.  mine works great...

**Q: Coming from a Polk subwoofer which is being fed from a powered mixer , what outputs do I use from it to connect this  ?**
A: This is for a 5.1 surround system. The AMP will have a center speaker ports which will connect to this center speaker. Outputs from subwoofer should be connected to the main speaker if your AMP does not have other ports. If it has other ports, then connect it there. Output from a powered mixer is not meant for Hifi equipment, but for  pro audio equipment as the impendence may not match. If it matches then you can daisy chain them.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does the Job

First things first, I'm not a crazy audiophile that can supposedly tell the difference among different spectral bands. What I am is a person that needed a center speaker for my old Aiwa receiver and Sony floor speakers combo. My setup is optical audio out from the TV into the receiver, then out to three channels (sides and center). I don't have surround speakers. When properly hooked up and calibrated by the receiver (I had to adjust the sound delay to the center speaker so the picture and audio synced), these speakers sounded pretty good. Speech and sound effects sounded very clear. What you will not get from these speakers is big bass sounds (obvious), nor a "full" sound. Maybe because these speakers are very small (which is a plus since I have it in front of my TV), the sound does not fill the room. With the additional side speakers, I do get a fuller sound. However, the Sonys I have are kinda old and crappy, so there's a disconnect between their sound and the Polk's. For its price and size, this speaker is pretty good, and will enhance your setup, especially for TV and movies. Before you buy, make sure the RMS power (wattage) and impedance (ohms) are appropriate for the receiver. Overall, I'm satisfy with this purchase.
