These then slip onto the support arms and allow you to swivel the monitor as needed. They also allow you to raise or lower the monitor height to align them. There are cable clips included to help with the cables being kept neat, but I found some additional zip ties or velcro straps helped maintain the cable organization a bit better. It is highly adjustable in multiple dimensions and easily supports fairly heavy 27" monitors. We have several Huanuo monitor stand models, and all of them suffer from the same idiosyncrasy, the monitors on one side are significantly lower than those on the other. The difference can be enough to reach the limit of the height adjustment, On this one, the quad, I had to replace one height adjusting screw with a longer one and use a spacer and several washers to lift the monitor high enough to be in alignment with the one next to it. The screw, spacer, and washers cost less than a dollar total.
