However, I have never replaced the UV-C light so I haven’t looked to see how long the titanium dioxide component lasts. (Anything that catalyzes has a “shelf-life” so to speak because all the material is used up.) Good question! **Q: I just purchased a replacement filter flt4825. the new filter fits however the unit will not turn on. any advice?** A: Check the safety switch under the bottom edge of the filter, be sure that the filter is engaging and pressing the switch down all the way.
