Happily desertcart took the older one back and I had the plumber put this one in. I hope this lasts, because it's just the right style and is also very nice quality.
Review: Good unit, quick note on fixing leaks - Easy to install, good quality, lasted about 5 years before it started to drip. We'd all like these to work forever but 5 years isn't unreasonable. If it's dripping out the nozzle, it's probably the rubber seat washer and not the cartridge. The OEM/official replacement part is the KBRP541SS which can be difficult to find. Turns out that this is a standard part with a different part number. I installed the RP4993 seat and spring and it worked great.

**Q: How do you access the filter?  Does the opening of the spout come off for cleaning, and if so, can you also attach external hoses to it?**
A: Unscrew the end of the spout.  Where the water comes out.  It's standard so would think you could attach a hose.

**Q: Hello, where can we purchase replacement hot/cold caps/buttons?  We had an H cap fall off and get lost.  Thank you**
A: Call the manufacturer customer service line. I lost the button on ours and had to buy the whole handle, but service dept looked up handle part # and where to order.

**Q: Does this come with a drain pop up drain plug?**

I live in a converted tenement apartment in NYC and wanted something nice that did not clash with the general aesthetic of the apartment. I am really happy with this purchase. It is definitely not plastic! It has real heft to it and makes my bathroom look that much better. Oher than that it is completely functional and I would buy it again.
