Helped Dad know titles for double-sided movies
Great labels! Replaces struggling to read minute print or writing on hubs with a Sharpie (which I don't trust not to damage DVDs in the long run.)I wish the template were better, but it makes sense that they can't improve it because WordArt changes size proportionate to the length of the title. So I just resized a Word Art element for each title. Once you get used to it, it's pretty quick to size each new title.I used these labels with the Avery CD/DVD Label Applicator, which helped apply them neatly. Not a requirement, but a nice help:http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00066FHNI?redirect=true&ref_=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_96Warning (praise?): These labels are very sticky, and I don't think they'll come off any time soon or ever. Which is a HUGE plus, since some labels hardly want to stay on. That said, make sure they are placed where you want them to be before you stick them on, because you're going to have a heck of a time getting them back off. This was a huge reason the applicator was so handy. I worked out the centering and had the label on the applicator exactly where it needed to be, then pushed the DVD onto that.If these labels came off easily, the applicator wouldn't be such a plus. But they are, and it is.These labels really saved Dad on some movie collections he had that were double-sided. The titles are in a minuscule font printed around the edge of the hub and pretty much unreadable for a huge segment of the population.I was able to print a label for each side of the DVD with the title big enough that he could see it. I'm definitely keeping these on hand from now on!

The labels are great. Make sure that you have software that will print them, unless you're going to hand-Sharpie them. The only product I could find that would really do that job was from Discus software and is a bit pricey when you only need it for one kind of label. Also, with any label this small, being able to adjust the printing a few mm one way or the other is very helpful (the Discus software does this). The "template" that is available from Compulabel is not really a template at all, but just a "background image" (whatever that might be). This is the only reason for 4, instead of 5 stars.

Perfect for archiving!
I read somewhere that using a marker on the back of the disc (non-laser side) may be bad for the laser material because the ink could seep through the plastic coating and eventually cause damage. These labels allow you to write on the hub so there is no chance of this happening. They're very handy!

Smaller than I expected
Extremely small labels, they will NOT cover your whole CD. There are 26 adhesive labels per 8x11 sheet of paper. These only cover the small plastic area on CDs and DVDs that is clear on blank CDs/DVDs. I was hoping they would cover the whole CD so I could cover the existing label and write something new on it.

I cannot locate the necessary software
I have searched multiple sites and still cannot locate the software. Useless!

Hub Labels
This product is very nice. Printing on it works great, sticks great to the disk. It's even tough at times if you make a mistake and want to remove the label. Good glue. It even holds up after repeatedly being fed into the printer many times without any jams. I definitely recommend it to everyone.

CD/DVD Hub Labels -- Limited use but I like them
The stick, work well with an applicator, are easy to store and use, I don't use a printer, I use a Sarpie marker. Not much of a review but all I can give you.

Ever get tired of loosing DVDs to friends who don't return them ?
I have a pretty extensive DVD collection and because of that, I keep a catalog of them so I don't re-buy what I already have. This means when one DVD goes 'missing' it has to be someone I know very well (cause I don't lend them to strangers). What I've come to realize is that my friends also have large collections, and it is pretty easy for people to loose track of what they have borrowed. These hub labels are perfect for a low impact identifier on the DVDs themselves so as to remind people who's DVD's they have.
