The only issue I had with the swing was: when I got it, the instructions said (and I DEFINITELY agree) you must coat it with something like Polyurethane because the wood is 'natural' with no protective coating on it. So, if you don't protect the wood from moisture (and the moisture freezing in the winter) . . the constant freezing and expansion due to freezing will breakdown the unprotected wood, likely in two years. So, you must coat the swing; I coated it with Polyurethane, like the instructions say. The seating surface is sanded well; BUT, in between the boards, it is not sanded. So, in order to do an adequate job of sealing the wood with Poly, you must disassemble the entire swing . . i.e. take the swing completely apart and sand as required. Removing the screws requires a 'square' drive screwdriver (meaning the hole in the screw is a recessed square); which most people don't have. I have a powered square drive screwdriver; but, most people will not. So, be advised, if you want this great swing to last more than two years, you must protect the bare wood and the only way to do that right is to disassemble the swing, sand as required, and put two coats of Polyurethane on it. You can get everything you need to do this at Ace, Home Depot or Lowes. Unfortunately, the 'square' screwdrivers come in different square dimensions and I think the correct size is Dewalt #2, but, you may have to buy that size and one larger and one smaller to make sure you have the right square size (when you are finished, take back the ones you did not use). If you do take the swing apart, mark the boards and mark where they do, so you can put it back together correctly. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A really well made high quality swing *by H***Y on Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2015* A very high quality swing. Packaging was excellent. Probably the best I have ever seen for a large fairly heavy package. Wood quality and quality of construction is also excellent. A couple of rough spots on the bottom but you could light sand them out if you wanted to. The holes are precisely drilled and I would recommend running a bolt in and out a couple of times to loosen them up before you start assembling.Now the bad. Well it really isn't bad. I always check the hardware against the list on the instructions. I had one extra bolt and two that were longer than the instructions said. The long ones were for attaching the back to the bottom on the ends where you had to go through three pieces of wood but the instructions don't show that.The only problem I had was the two six foot pieces of chain were attached to the eye bolts and the two three foot pieces were loose. Just the opposite of what it should be. The S hooks are stout and I had to take them into the garage and use a ball peen hammer and a cold chisel to open them up enough so I could switch the chains. This might be a show stopper for some. I also had one nut with no threads so I had to dig into my coffee can of loose nuts and bolts to find a replacement.Overall a very high quality product that may out last me. Just check your hardware before you get too far into it to avoid frustration. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stellar Deal! *by B***T on Reviewed in the United States on January 17, 2017* Not sure what's going on with the folks that gave this 1 star. It's a stellar deal for what you pay.It took right at 1 hour to unbox, read the instructions, verify the parts list, and put it together.The bad:1) yeah, the instructions are too brief. Looks like they wanted all the instructions to fit on 1 page. You'll want to read carefully and slowly. They also don't tell you (duh!) things like, "repeat steps 1 - 3 for the other side", but you can figure that out.2) you need to know some basic construction like the difference between 1/2" and 7/16" as well as 1/4" and 5/16", but that's about as hard as it gets.3) one of the arm-rest holes wasn't quite large enough. I could have pulled out the drill, but I was able to thread the bolt through the wood without issue.The good:1) Not nearly as many pieces to put together as I thought after reading some of the reviews. There's just 4 wood sections. The seat, back, and 2 arm-rests are already put together for you. (Comes in a larger box than I expected too.
