You just need to remove the lid, peel off the seal, replace the lid with the black plastic disc in place. Making sure to undo the lid enough so that it sits high and allows the scent to be released. I've been using them for 10+ years and they last a good year at a time. Really easy to use and great value for money. Way better than other comparible products Review: Works well, for about a week. - Used this as a natural product to try and eliminate the musky, mould smell after a garage/outhouse flood, when found out we are living on a flood risk area from surface water. Was hoping it may also draw out the dank smell that had seeped into some furniture and belongings stored there. Alas, it worked really well for a week in neutralising that manky stench of damp that hung in the air, but only for a week; and after two the smell was back, even with airing, heating, and using a de-humidifier. It's too expensive for the short time it remains effective. Having said that, for a week it worked remarkably well. Not a long term solution as the musky smell quickly returns, and for us, the cheaper resolution in the long-term may be to move!
