A: We would recommend a size 7 if you are not wearing socks. You may want to go up to a 7.5 if you will be wearing socks.

**Q: Are these shoes comfortable to wear without socks. Do they rub a blister on the Achilles area?**
A: Sorry I can't comment on their comfort without socks, since I always wear socks when I am wearing them.  Having said that, I have never had any discomfort or blistering when I wear them (with socks).  Carl

A: Worn this brand and model for years and never had "to break in" but it is not a soft type leather shoe.
