Review: Truly a blackout film! - All window film/vinyl is a challenge to install so, I won't add that to my rating (as the size, accuracy of your cut and your prep can impact that). This is TRULY a blackout film. We have a large window at the front of our house that's high up and gets great sunlight. The downside is that it also give a greenhouse effect and makes it very hot in the front of the house. This has helped to keep the front of the house a little cooler which is great in this Texas heat. The inside facing side of the film is textured like a flaxen grass cloth. So, with it being solid black, it isn't jarring to the eye and doesn't clash with anything.

All window film/vinyl is a challenge to install so, I won't add that to my rating (as the size, accuracy of your cut and your prep can impact that). This is TRULY a blackout film. We have a large window at the front of our house that's high up and gets great sunlight. The downside is that it also give a greenhouse effect and makes it very hot in the front of the house.
