It attaches easily and fits perfectly between the seat and the cargo area. The zipper is not crazy tight like a Yeti so you won't flip the kayak trying to unzip it. I pulled it out of the box, stuck it in my big freezer for about 30 minutes to cool it off, put 5 cans and about a dozen ice cubes in it, paddled around for 3 hours in the heat, got in and out of it a few times, but forgot to empty it when I got home. The next morning it still had ice cubes in it. I'm not a soft-side cooler kinda guy but I like this thing. It will hold 12 with ice.So back in April 2019 I bought this cooler on faith because NOBODY had reviewed it....like anywhere. It's now April 2020 and because of this virus about the only thing I can do is kayak so let me just say that I still love this thing! It hangs there turning dead space into usable space. I use it more for dry storage than a cooler to be honest.
