But, happily I was wrong. They don't keep the rain out, but then, they are knit fabric, so not expected to. They took a bit of effort to get on the first time, but because they are made of stretch fabric I expected that as well. The heel height was a fraction more than I was expecting, the rest of my trainers are dead flat, these raise the heel about half an inch. BUT they are, after only a few days, my favourite footwear. I have various foot problems, but ,with the addition of insoles, these trainers are the comfiest and most supportive shoes I own. Although the front of the trainer is not a great fit. A bit loose.The colour is nice. I bought the black to grey.The sole is solid. A bit plasticky looking. They are comfortable to walk in.I would not use these for sport or for hiking nor for a long walk.I would class these as casual, fashionable shoes.
