The fabric is brown corduroy upholstery. Very thick fabric. The frame is black lacquer, but not too shiny. I am a tall American and the kyōsoku is okay for my elbow to rest on. I am very happy with my kyōsoku.

I’ve wanted a Kyōsoku For a long time. I bought one here on Amazon.co.jp and I am very happy with it. You can only find kyōsoku in museums in USA. The fabric is brown corduroy upholstery.
