I have moved apartments many times and it is always awful moving the big stuff. If you use these extension straps properly it helps a lot. My boyfriend and I used the original Forearm Forklifts plus the extension strap to move a 7-foot couch, king-sized mattress, clunky queen-sized futon. I've moved these same items before without the Forearm Forklifts setup and, while do-able with 2 people, was definitely difficult and very tiring. These straps made a significant difference. It makes moving big items much easier on the arms and lower back because you don't have to fully extend your arms or bend you back a certain way to get a good grip on the edge of the mattress or the rounded arm of a couch. This allows for proper lifting technique where you can use your core and some of your leg strength to do the work. They are not that expensive and save you so much discomfort.
