However, I was traveling to Tanzania to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro with a four day safari afterwards and needed a solution for night time bathroom breaks. It is recommended on the climb that you do not leave your tent because of the weather and the fact that you might fall off a cliff. It is recommended on the safari that you do not leave your tent as you may be eaten by wild animals. As such, we repurposed a water bottle into a night time "potty"; however, for women, this is not as easy as for men. So I was looking for a solution for myself and Go Girl was the solution I chose. I practiced for about two months before my trip and felt very confident using it. I only had one accident and that was because I was lacking a proper seal on the back. When I first received it and began to practice, my husband and four year old crowded into the bathroom to witness this momentous occasion. Luckily, it went well. Surprisingly, my four year old was super excited that mommy could pee like daddy and she wanted to try it as well. Again, I was skeptical, but she tried it and was successful. She like it so much, she wanted to try it again later - which did not go as well. Since then, she has not asked to try it again. On the trip, I never actually used it standing up as you do have to pull your pants down rather far to get the proper positioning. With my pants already around my knees, I found it was faster and easier to just squat. However, it served its purpose for night time "potty breaks" well.
