(I am in SC and we don't get much snow here). To my surprise the canopy was still completely intact with a heavy blanket of snow sitting on it but it did appear to be about to collapse at any moment.I quickly removed the snow and turned on a portable heater inside to de-ice it. It's just the first time, if you're not sure how to assemble it, that's a pain in the butt. Just leave the main canvas on the frame, after you build it the first time and it's SO much easier. With two people, you can fit it in the convenient carrying case just fine with the canvas on.The tent and frame are pretty sturdy! It was able to weather two heavy wind and rain thunderstorms the first time I used it! The inside of the tent material was wet to the touch, but surprisingly, water didn't start dripping through the ceiling, and none of my art pieces got wet. I was going to add the video of the first storm, but it looks like I only added it to my Instagram, so I don't have the saved file.The only problem I've had with the frame is that the second time I used it, one of the locks broke off in my hand. The tent is still usable, but we need to use needle-nosed pliers to get that part to work now.The other problem I had is that the tent did not come with the advertised weights. I had to send my husband to purchase some concrete blocks to use as weights instead, and those work great. They look like little sand castles, so that's fun.
