It was extremely easy to install to replace my budget contractor grade standard straight bar shower rod. The instructions were clear and I didn't have one second of frustration when installing this, which is saying a lot since I am not a "handyman". Since my original rod was mounted right into wood studs, I was able to re-use the top holes and just pre-drill new bottom holes (since the bracket on this was taller than my old one) for attaching, which worked perfectly. It's sturdy, well made, attractive, and best of all, functional.The difference in my shower is incredible - this offers so much more space. It really seems like I've got whole new larger shower! I hung two shower organizers (each holds 8 shampoo / body wash containers) on this shower rod with no problem and no sag at all. I searched both our local big hardware stores for what they had in shower curtain rods, in-store and online, and special ordered a curved rod from one of them, I won't mention the name here. Upon receipt and inspection it appeared to be what I wanted. However upon putting the two curved pieces together I noticed the bent ends were not inline with each other. The curved tubing was twisted just enough to where it was impossible to mount. I promptly returned it to the store for a refund. I decided to search for a rod on Amazon and ran across this rod and read some of the reviews and decided to order and see if it fulfilled our needs, and it did wonderfully.This is a sturdy stout shower curtain rod, well made and a great value. Being a career tooling machinist I am not satisfied with substandard equipment. I evaluate the quality and design of products I purchase and this product is designed very well. The tubing is solid, not flimsy, the wall mount brackets are very stout and precisely forged. This rod can be mounted by one person but it is easier to have and assistant help support the rod when securing the second final wall mount bracket. Very few tools are required to make this installation and all required fasteners are included. Once the rod and brackets are secured the the wall tightening the top and bottom set screw on each bracket, with the included allen wrench, completes the installation and snugs the rod from any vertical wobble.I highly recommend this shower curtain rod and would buy another without hesitation if I had the need. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Top notch, easy to install *by J***S on October 14, 2013* This was a cinch to install. Unlike most other items bought for a song, it had very thorough and complete instructions, written in understandable language and with adequate photos.Pros:- Easy to install. Took me about 15 minutes with a handheld drill and a hammer.- Looks very sharp, and is incredibly sturdy. I have no concerns about this falling down no matter what happens.- Templates that come with it show you exactly where to drill and screw - so no worries about being out of line or making a mistake. It's just so simple.- The large, sturdy anchoring pieces won't move - and look sharp, too.Cons:- Getting it level via the set screws seems a bit silly.
