Please tell me if diff. sizes work!** A: Different sizes work just fine. I even fold a 10 in half and cook it. You have to be careful about filling it too full because cheeses and sauces will leak out but grill easily wipes clean with paper towel/ dish rag. I use this 4-5 times a week and love it. Handle feels loose so grill tends to move on counter when you lift lid. I use hot pads under legs to keep from sliding on counter **Q: Are the plates removable?** A: No they are not removable. **Q: Where is it made. can you make pancakes in it, is ist deep enough, does ist cook on the top also** A: The box indicates it's made by "The People's Republic of China." This product cooks the top and bottom at the same time. If you used pancake batter in it, use a very thin stream of batter, as it will expand and probably flow over the sides. **Q: Is the interior teflon?** A: Thank you for your interest, Miriam. It has a solid make, does not require much clean up (as the food does not stick to the pan if cleaned before the food has a chance to harden on the maker) is bigger than most quesadilla makers I have used in the past (this allows me to use more fillings, something I am a big fan of), has a beautiful red exterior that will look good in almost any kitchen, and has a lip at the edge of the maker so that if you accidentally (or subconsciously on purpose :p ) stuff too much food inside of the tortillas, the food will be caught in the lip allowing you to avoid hot and melted cheese dripping all over your counter. That being said, I did have to order this maker twice within two weeks. The first one that was sent to me has a weak part connecting the top and bottom plates and broke within the first two weeks. However, because I was so satisfied with the over-all performance and can easily tell by the weight and rich design that this was a fluke, I sent it back and had another shipped to me without a second thought.
