Most are very firm and difficult to get on the brush. In general I would not reccomend the pressed pallate **Q: Hi, this colors for gumpaste?? is it food colors??** A: It is not food colors. It is for dusting gumpaste after it dries...like after you have formed it into a flower or whatnot. **Q: Is the case a cardboard box with plastic trays, or is it acrlic see thru case with plastic trays?** A: Acrylic see thru case with a plastic tray inside. Measures about 5" by 7.5" **Q: Are these intended to be used dry or with liquid?** A: You can use them both dry and with liquid such as edible alcohol.
