Extremely thick and durable material - I would struggle to put a hole through it if I tried. We had four suitcases and then some in this. The bed of my truck had a lot of snow and muck but all the luggage stay dry and clean. The only downside of this is it can be pretty darn difficult to zip. I did spray the zipper with graphite and that helped a lot. Another thing I have never thought about is that this is very heavy duty plastic. It literally froze into a hard plastic block. I was scared to do too much to it as I would afraid it would crack, but since the whole top off flip up it made it easy to get the luggage out. Take it on a pin to your hotel room and it will become soft and workable again! We are heading to Florida at the end of the month and so we are about to try it on the complete other end of the spectrum!
