Cleared the surrounding ice and sleet off the parking lot. Used the pick and the hoe feature to chip the ice. People complained that shovel's deployment is slow, but they need realize that they need to oil the hinges so they can have a fast, smooth deployment. Quality is great, It lasted chips on asphalt and ice without fail. I like how compact the XL version is, only thing is that it's ment for a big guy and it won't fit easily in a your spare tire tool kit. So it fits perfectly for an above average person and under your seat. Obviously, this is ment to be a shovel, but in a pinch, it can be a weapon. Long story short, treat it like a foldable knife. Keep it oiled often, and it will not fail and rust on you. Would buy again
