Put 1 piece of velcro on the poles facing out (you don't have to put it on every pole, but for more stability you can). 3.) The matching piece of velcro will go on the INSIDE of the cover. * Make sure you place the velcro on the pole LOW enough so the cover will be tight on the pool. * To help water from pooling in the center, we kept floaties with a beach ball in the center to give the cover some height from underneath. * Don't pull too hard on the cover, it definitely isn't super durable, and when it's in the sun, it will stretch, maybe ripping it accidentally. I checked my Intex 10' pool this morning and it was 68 degrees, it was hot as Hell today, so when I got home I checked the temp and it went from 68 degrees to a beautifully warm 82.5 degrees...I could not be happier! My main goal was to warm the pool and keep leaves out, this pool cover has holes pre-made to allow rain water to wash through rather than fill up with water making it impossible to easily remove, the downside is that dirt and anything smaller than 3/4" will fall right through, the second downside is that this allows the water to evaporate more quickly. I am ok with the holes and the staining, but to help with evaporation I will put another bubble wrap style cover under this, I am not concerned about the dirt, my filter will catch that, with the second cover evaporation will be minimized and still allow rain water in so the cover does not fill up and rip or become difficult to remove. All-in-all I am VERY happy with this cover and how it fits! I duck taped mine closed and it works much better. You must drain the top off after rain. Leave some slack in the cover for rain water. I put screen over the siphon hose to stop clogging. Use a ratchet strap with enough rope added to go around the pool and ratchet it tight to keep it from blowing off. Intex should make a cover without the holes too. Overall this is a good cover, Mine lasted 8 years with 2 times of replacing the Alum. Tape over the dumb holes. **Q: Will this fit an easy set up pool tight enough to not blow off? how does one secure it?** A: No. I had a horrible experience. You would be better of with a tarp. There is a rope that runs through the bottom so that you "can" tighten it. But as soon as you start to pull it tight, it rips the plastic, making it useless. Mine is at the bottom of my pool. **Q: Will this cover a pro series 15 ft round metal frame pool?** A: It most likely should. We were able to fit it over our 15 ft round collapsible pool. However, when covering, you have to tighten it with the cord that comes with it. When stormy, I would strategically prop handles of hoes, shovels and the pool ladder just under the top of the frame where the cover was draped over to prevent gusty winds from blowing it off which worked really well. This year, I plan to tie strong cords to one half side of the pool frame at fixed points, then stretch the cords across to the opposite side and tie them off. Then we will stretch the pool cover across and tie it off and anchor it again. This should help prevent the cover from sinking down into the pool and let the water drain better. We live in a wooded area so our pool is placed near the edge, because of level ground, thus, when it is stormy we get hit with leaves and debris. It is hard to peel the cover back without the trapped water and debris falling in. This should make it easier to peel back the cover when we want to get in the pool without the mess. Since this cover does have drain holes, I prefer it over the solid ones. The bubble wrap solar blanket works too and is well worth the investment when you want to warm up your pool after stormy weather. Just don't spend too much on one. **Q: Can this cover be used for inflatable pool or only the ones with a metal frame?** A: We used it for our metal frame pool (and it was fine, lasted the very snowy winter) but it was a little larger circumference, so we ended up clamping it down on the sides. Please see my pictures ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fits great but need Velcro attached *by O***M on June 10, 2016* I had to write a review considering all the bad comments which are hard to understand. You buy $16 cover and it work great. First let me start by saying that the this Pool Cover does cover my Intex 12ft pool perfectly with 8-10in over the sides, unlike the solar one that just sits in the pool. It has holes all around to prevent rain to accumulate in the middle and make it sag. I gave it 4 stars becuase of two issues I had. 1. It needed two people to put on as the sides keep slipping if you do by yourself. 2. As others said, the string holds nothing and it is useless. So, regarding the first issue, I had help so no big deal. The second problem is more serious as this cover will fly in the wind. So as others suggested, I bought VELCRO Brand - Industrial Strength Low Profile - 3' x 1" Tape - Black for $7, sold here on Amazon. Tapes 3in on each post and the cover and it now holds great! No more flapping or flying in the wind. Personally I like this cover and would recommend it.
