It is so pretty but gives enough light at the bedside. I was concerned about the orange piece in the photo that did not seem to belong (not my favourite colour) so I did not buy it immediately, but, as they say they are all individually made and all slightly different. Mine had no trace of orange so I am delighted. It takes an E27 bulb. Some reviews say it gets hot but with LED bulbs that is not a problem. The shade is still cold to the touch after over half an hour.
