The recessed type that was fitted when the door was installed was obviously now insufficient to bridge the gap. There used to be a howling gale blowing through. I fitted it as an addition to the recessed stuff which was fitted around the edge of the door frame. The new white stuff is fitted on the door frame with bristles in the corner. Just make sure you have enough space to fit the tape in. It will probably make your door a much tighter fit and will take a while to bed in so that the door shuts smoothly.. Measure thoroughly before you buy. The dimensions written on the bottom left of the packaging in Amazon photo are accurate. You will need to zoom to read it. It will only work for a gap of at least 1.3mm up to 1.8mm. Sorry couldn't upload a photo or video. Intumescent strip is decent and brush gives it the expected “fire door” sound when it closes so you can tell it’s doing the trick. Only issue is the adhesive strip simply isn’t strong enough, so the seal peels off at the edges almost instantly - just be prepared to nail it in place at any edges though and you’ll manage fine.
