I tried the CW and CCW settings. Then I noticed my watch had stopped and thought it was odd that it wouldnt resume time even when the unit was rotating. Yet the moment I took my watch out of the winder to put it on my wrist she resumed ticking.Then someone told me that the vertical position winders are better and to stay away form the diagnal position winders. So I tipped this winder close to a vertical position and sure enough, it then kept time.Its too bad because this is a beautiful winder. I tried one of the other Diplomat models too and had the same issue. I have to return both winders and probably will have to get a vertical one. I'm so upset. The motor is really quiet too! You dont even hear anything! This would get a 5 if my watch worked.
