Also the round styling with the little flat ovals, look wonderful despite being made out of some kind of plastic, inside the metal they look cool, and are also well made..nothing is falling apart, and Im happy. Gives me plenty of light, takes a 60 watt bulb. The area over my desk that was dark could not be lighted with any desk lamp which I have two or plus an artist lamp, so it not only makes the room look more attractive, its convenient also because it doesn't take up space on my work table or desk. The fact that they put the on and off switch lower down on the cord, which is inside a linked chain I like because of its silvery look, I just lean over from my computer chair in my home office and click it on. So that really is not a problem. I would prefer it higher. and found out it can be raised and have someone who can do that for me if I like. So all in all this lamp is a plus, very nice and gives a modern yet retro look if that makes any sense..
