Unlike other forms of curcumin, BCM 95 does not remove the natural oils in turmeric. The formulation has curcuminoids, essential oils of turmeric, and Ar turmerone. Other curcumin formulations focus on purifying curcumin and curcuminoids from turmeric. These formulations are marketed as “95% curcumin/curcuminoids.” BCM 95, on the other hand, retains most of the natural oils from raw turmeric roots, which are commonly removed during the purification process.BCM 95 is marketed for inflammatory conditions, but it’s also promoted for its heart health benefits and anti-oxidant properties that can help fight cancer. Some studies have shown that these oils have gastroprotective properties and have beneficial effects for diabetics.Curcuminoids makeup 86% of BCM 95, while essential oils from turmeric roots makeup 7-9%. Based on human studies, BCM 95 has been shown to be 7-9 time more bioavailable than ordinary or non-enhanced curcumin.Subjects who took BCM 95 showed a peak of curcumin in their bloodstreams within an hour. There was a short dip at two hours after administration, and then a second and higher peak at 4.5 hours. The level of curcumin gradually declined after the second peak, but curcumin was still detectable in the subjects’ blood within 8 hours.

I've used this product previously which was recommended by Dr.Mitch (Dr.Mitch Total Health website) who has a medical talk show on satellite radio. I called in once explaining symptoms of tennis elbow and he recommended this product. Most people probably don't know that you can take more than 1 or 2 a day. Because of the constant pain of tennis elbow Dr. Mitch instructed me to start out taking 2 twice a day and if after a week if no results, increase to 3 twice a day for a week and once the pain subside reduce the dose which I did and it absolutely worked. I believe that if this product is not used correctly it will not be effective. Therefore it is best that each person speak to the doctor or a medical profession when using vitamin supplements. I'm in the process of practicing jogging and running to eventually run a 5K so I need the cur cumin to help with my soreness and just purchased 3 bottles. Prices are reasonable on amazon.com

This is a good quality product that I’ve been using for quite a while. I’m a cancer survivor and this is one of the supplements that is helpful as a cancer fighter.

This product helped to clear up shoulder bursitis. It was easy to swallow with water, and the price was a lot lower than any I've seen online or in store.

This stuff is good for about everything. I don't get indigestion near as much with this brand.

I'm still in my first of 3 bottles, so the judge is still out, but I seem to be digesting this better than brands bought at Costco and grocery so I'm pleased with that.

It's hard for an individual to evaluate such a product. It was evaluated by Consume Lab (NO connection to Consumers Union, Consumers Union, or Consumer Reports) and rated very well. Consumer Reports has quoted Consumer Lab's results in the past, so I think it's reliable. I have no way of evaluating its effectiveness. I plan on continuing to take it.
