Review: Eight years old and still like new -- until a windstorm - I just ordered another of these. The first one lasted 8 years and was still totally strong and un-faded (dark green, used only in the summer in Colorado). Great umbrella! Especially for the price. But we must have had some big wind last night because I found the umbrella still attached to it's 40# weight (!) on the ground beside my 2nd floor deck this morning. The walls of the deck were perfectly fine. I can't imagine how that happened. But I'm buying the exact same umbrella again. (It broke at the tilt spot as the wind blew the open umbrella around the heavy base.)
Review: Good umbrella - I only just put it up but it seems well made, easy to assemble (comes in two pieces), also pretty light for its size. Tilt and crank work well.

**Q: Does it have velcro strap to keep it closed?**
A: No, it does not have a velcro strap. I use a small bungee cord to keep it closed although I really don't think it's needed. Great umbrella for the price.

**Q: Has anyone had the aqua blue for at least a year, and has it faded?**
A: I have had the aqua blue for over a year. It has faded a bit. But the main “bones” of these umbrellas are good at a decent price.  I purchased a beige one a month ago and it has already faded a lot. But you can buy replacement canvas fairly inexpensively as well. Just make sure you know your size and the number of ribs on your umbrella and it takes about 5-10 minutes to swap out the canvas.

**Q: how does this hold up in 10-15 mph tradewinds?**
A: Definitely not well constructed enough to withstand 10-15 mph winds. Mine broke within 3 months in 10mph winds.

**Q: How dou you open the vent at the top?**
A: Dear, the vent is opened design, so you needn't not to open it by yourself.

Stability and quality are good for only a $50, after I put up the first one I bought another, I recommend white/beige to prevent fading.
