## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works.

*by M***E on September 1, 2017*

It is as advertised. It is far superior for going up and down stairs compared to a traditional hand cart. Folds neatly and very compact. When unfolded it is large. The wheels do not seem to click when unfolded and I think the weight is all that holds them extended. Be warned that in the video they show them hauling appliances. I would not haul appliances with this cart. In the video it is a dryer they are hauling which is the lightest of all appliances(50-75 pounds) but don't think about putting a front load washer or a refrigerator on this hand truck. It might even carry a normal size washer a few times. Not saying it is weak because it is not. It's just a side effect of the folding mechanisms and all the joints that justify logically 200 pounds is possible but not an everyday thing. It is fine with three loaded tubs which is definitely not light. The stair climbing ability works perfectly and will manage the impact very well with the tri wheel set up. You will see similar products with smaller wheels and common sense will tell you those will not work as well. The upcart has larger wheels to manage different types of stairs. Good buy in my opinion. I will update if any problems arise.

### ⭐⭐ I wouldn't recommend this for anything more than about 150 pounds

*by P***K on October 3, 2017*

Purchased this to move a 200 pound safe up a flight of stairs because it was rated for up to 200 pounds. I will stress this because it is important, DO NOT LOAD THIS CLOSE TO THE LIMIT! I made it up 4 steps before the handle came flying out, dropping the 200 pound safe on my leg and falling down the 4 steps it made it up, thankfully not injuring anyone below. Amazon did, thankfully, send out another unit to replace the original one. This time I removed the door from the safe and was able to get it up the stairs without issue. Still didn't completely trust the unit not to fail. I wouldn't recommend this for anything more than about 150 pounds, it's dangerous. As for the second unit they sent out, I discovered recently when one of the wheel sets fell off, that it appears the unit they sent was missing a couple of bolts to hold the wheel sets to the frame. So, they fall off. Not a big deal, I can go to the hardware store, pick up what I need and put some loctite on the threads so that the wheels stay on. However, given the price range, for $20 more, you can get a solid, sturdy 3 wheeled design moving dolly. Yes, it won't be able to fold up and tuck away but it will actually be able to move things, without having to worry about it breaking on you. If I were to do it over again and I had the place to store the dolly, I'd spend the extra $20 and get a real dolly, with a 3 wheel design.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Most important virtue is negotiating stairways. I have lots of 'em. Second is 'folding' and carrying in the car.

Overall I'm delighted. It's lightweight, easy to handle, and negotiates steps as advertised. It does well over soft surfaces; and 1" loose ground or over sod which it negotiates more easily then loose ground. I have been surprised at how well it will move over soft surfaces. It will climb average height stairs 7" to 8" quite successfully. With additional effort it will accommodate 12" high steps. I am very fond of its skill on steps going both up and down. Fantastic with suitcases!Downsides; load capacity is advertised variously from 200 to 300 pounds. I think those numbers need a bit of qualification. A surface such as cobblestone is fine but not large rough stone. Basically it prefers smooth surfaces for heavy loads. Loaded it does not have a zero turning radius but with a bit of travel it will turn quite short anyway. A significant discomfort occurs with a heavy load that sits low on the platform such as a heavy chunk of concrete. Considerable down pressure is required on the handles to keep the cart from returning to an upright position. With items that are 2 ft. or more in hight the load will balance quite nicely over the wheels.Would I recommend to friends. Absolutely! I already have.
