I received my Dutch oven and it is heavy. I have cooked Jambalaya first preparing on the stove then oven baking for 2.5 hrs delicious. I have also done stew from stovetop to oven for 3 hours and was delicious. I browned the meat prior to putting the dish together and it did well with that and coming to a boil quickly. I have had no chips so far and have used it a few times as I stated stovetop to oven. I used the rubber stoppers that set around the rim for storage. As with most coated Dutch ovens you have to be careful with the enamel but I have had no issues so far with regular cooking. The quality is beautiful I am happy with my purchase. Clean up was also easy.Updated Nov 2022This Dutch oven has held up wonderful. Lately I have made the rustic bread recipe you just stir together put in fridge and then pull out let rise and drop into heated Dutch oven to bake for 30 minutes. This Dutch oven takes high temperatures and back to back loaf baking.
