**Q: How does this differ from the Freestyle rocker?**
A: The difference is significant. The Firepit rocker has better upholstery. HOWEVER, the Firepit rocker is noticeably LOWER than the Freestyle rocker. So, for around the campfire, you want the Firepit Rocker. But, for watching sporting events or most activities where you want more of a chair, go with the Freestyle Rocker. Look around for prices; they vary from forty to eighty dollars.

**Q: Is there a weight limit?**
A: The published weight limit is 250lbs. The new Freestyle Rocker Pro has a 300lb limit. You can tell the Pro version from the original by looking at the cup holder. On the original, it is in the front/right; on the Pro, it’s on the side with a cellphone holder

**Q: Is the motion more like a glider than a rocker? How is this better than a folding rocker with more standard rocker legs? TY.**
A: This is an outstanding rocker with an easy motion.  It is the best of both worlds.  The shock absorbers on the back legs keep it smooth and easy allowing for a gentle rocking motion
But when you want the chair to "act" like a chair, such as at a table, the front legs are fixed, so you can stop the forward motion without the chair continuing to tilt forward.

I bought this chair primarily for one reason to fit into the trunk of my C8 Corvette convertible I go to a lot of car shows, and most folding chairs are very uncomfortable ,a friend of mine had one of these chairs. I sat in it, and I said if this fits into my trunk of my Corvette, I’m getting it so we tried his chair in my trunk and hallelujah. It fit in my trunk so any of you guys out there that have C8 Corvettes convertibles it’ll fit in your trunk. It’s a wonderful chair. It’s comfortable. I highly recommend it.

After my recent right shoulder surgery, I could not get out of a traditional camp chair that had a sunken canvas seat and canvas sling armrests. My son had to stand in front of me with his arm out and let me pull myself up with my left hand. It was difficult because the sunken seat was so much lower than my knees and I could only use my left arm to help me get up. I did extensive research before deciding to purchase the GCI Outdoor Road-trip Camper Chair. My primary reasons for purchasing this chair were: The solid arms of this chair give me a solid base to lift myself up from with one arm while wearing a cumbersome right-arm sling. The flat seat supports my body on a flat base making it easier to get up. The front edge doesn’t cut into my thighs like those “fall into” canvas buckets of most other camp chairs. The flat seat gives greater support to my lower back and reduces undue pressure on my lower spine (degenerative disc disease). The height of the chair seat works great for me (5’1”) and I think it will work well for others who are taller too, because the chair seat is a more normal height, unlike traditional sink into bucket camp chairs. You won’t be sorry for purchasing the taller seat back if you sit any length of time in a chair. The higher back offers greater support for my back and neck (2 cervical disc surgeries). The rocking motion will make it more comfortable to sit through lengthy baseball tournaments and easier on my spine. The movement will decrease back stiffness due to sitting in one position for a prolonged length of time. I wasn’t looking for a rocking chair, so that is a bonus. It also seems like it has greater strength and stability due to the specialized rocking design. While I can’t open and close it (temporary) due to restrictions of after surgery physical therapy, others can do that for me. My at-home physical therapist opened it for me the first time and tried it out too. She was impressed with how easy it was to open up, how comfortable it was and how easy it was to sit down and get out of. I can now easily sit down and get up with just my left arm. BTW: After I ordered it, I found it in an online store somewhat cheaper. While I didn’t know this when I purchased it, I’m still one happy camper and soon to be one even happier ballpark fan.
