    Perfect for Robes

Exactly what I needed for this vintage smoking jacket. You might consider adding “robe belt” to the description, like the other reviewer here I was surprised that Amazon doesn’t have robe belts in colors besides white and I found your product after quite a bit of searching.

The belt itself is nice, not too long or too short, and the material goes very well if you need to match it to either suede or velvet. However, the smell was awful! I got it to go with an outfit for Thanksgiving, and it arrived in the mail the day I left, so I packed it unopened in my suitcase. On Thanksgiving morning, I took it out of the package, and it smelled like mildew. I thought it just needed to air out, but no. Not even a spritz of perfume could hide it. I thought you could only smell the odor if you put your nose to it, and who is going to do that to my belt? I was wrong. My twelve year old son pulled me aside to as me what that smell was ... ugh. I changed immediately after dinner. I did wash it when I got home; I hand washed with warm water and a good smelling detergent, and I hung to dry. The smell is gone, so that is good.  Moral of the story: wash before wearing.
