A: In my opinion and experience... the heavier the better base is recommended AND definitely recommend winding the umbrella down when the weather is breezy/windy as it has a tendency to take off!!

A: the pole is in 2x pieces that slot into each other using a spring pin which is integral very easy to connect and disconnect

**Q: Hi, i'm interested i buying the black greenbay 2.5m parasol but it's pictured with a brown pole which looks strange! is this correct?**
A: It depends on the look you want I am delighted with mine the brown pole and struts look like classic wooden framework but without the weight if real wood. My last parasol was wood but was too heavy to manouver this one is substantial but you won't need a crane. Mine is cream by the way

This is a very nice parasol for a garden table. My first parasol broke so I replaced it with this one.  Found this one a much better quality and I hope it will last me for many years to come.  Time will tell.

This was a good price. The support pole seems light and not strong but we will see.The crank is OK. They use a weird string rope to pull it open. Makes it look cheap.Not sure how well that will last but we shall see b
