Also because of the hemispherical joint, it cannot tilt anymore past it's range.I use it to mount heavy surround sound speakers and it does a great job of that. Those are very close to the mount's weight rating. The finish is very good. Most of the speaker brackets at BB and HHG were made for 'mini' speakers and were cheap and expensive. The brackets have a wide pan/tilt range and are small enough to be nearly invisible.
