Review: Cuts hooves great - These stay sharp for a while, but you will need to ocassionally sharpen them. I use these for goat hooves - i have 60 goats, and do all of them quarterly. I can get all 60 done in a week without needing to sharpen these. I have small hands but it's still easy to use with one hand while I hold the hoof with the other. I also use these for all sorts of other uses, such as cutting net wrap off round bales, trimming and pruning plants, opening boxes, opening grain bags... you name it. It works for everything.

**Q: Do they work for pigs and if not, what do you recommend?**
A: work great on goats never tried on pigs

**Q: How long are the blades?**
A: The blade is 2.25" from hinge to tip of blade.  I use this for trimming bushes and they stay super sharp.  This is my second one.

**Q: Can you buy new springs? I have a bunch of pairs and keep loosing spring as such I have 6 pairs and only 1 spring...**
A: Sure!  You can buy replacement springs!  They are available online, do a search for:  Zenport Q91-P1 and you will find what you are looking for!

**Q: How long will these last if i use them on pygmy goats only?**
A: Of course it depends on how many goats you have, but they should last a long time.  I've been using mine on a small herd of Nigerian dwarf goats for over a year and they are still as good as new.

I have a mini pig (280 pounds). Her hooves haven't been trimmed in two years. The pandemic broke out just as she needed it and no one could make house calls. I'm using these little shears to, little by little, make a dent in her too long hooves. They're sharp. They work alright. It's such a difficult job because it has to be done one tiny clip at a time without annoying the pig too much. These shears will pinch your hand if not careful, but they are doing what they're supposed to do. They are very sharp. Pay attention.
