Its relatively thin but super warm, I'm not sure whats in between the two layers, maybe some kind of reflective materiel like mylar, but it will keep you cozy in cold weather. I bought this primarily to take along with me when hiking/backpacking in the colder months. The only downside is that its rather heavy, but compared to a wool blanket its actually not too bad. The inner layer is very high quality and soft flannel and the outer layer is some kind of nylon, and its definitely waterproof.All in all, if you're looking for a stadium blanket or an emergency blanket to toss in the back of your car. This is about perfect. If you're a backpacker/hiker, only get this if you need some serious extra warmth (winter camping) or you don't care about weight, its definitely not for the UltraLight crowd. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Comes with Carrying Strap and Bag *by C***S on March 18, 2017* Works great. Came with a strap with a buckle, that has a loop on one end (a carrying strap) and a storage bag that has a handle on the bottom and a toggle on the other end to cinch it shut.I haven't washed it yet or tested it's waterproofing ability-- but I trust the other reviewers that have had no issues. Just wanted to let others know that it comes with a strap and bag because that was one thing I was wondering about when I looked up this product.Also, the parent website has more products, so you might want to check there as well. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very happy with this blanket! *by E***N on July 10, 2012* I purchased this blanket to use at an outdoor fireworks display. This blanket was slightly more expensive than others, but I was encouraged by the positive reviews I read elsewhere and decided to give it a try. The blankets (we ordered two) arrived very quickly. We used the blanket to sit on the grass all night at the fireworks and had no moisture seeping through, despite the fact that it had rained the day before. The fleece side was warm and comfortable. The blanket was large enough for our family of four, including two teenagers, to sit on and even have a card game in the middle.
