One time, I was running out so I put about 1/8 cup of water (1:1 ratio for amount left) into the dispenser bottle. It still worked on the odors I used it on. I would not recommend doing that though unless it's your last resort until you can get more. The product description states it contains water as one of the main ingredients so it is already diluted.
