**Q: My daughter is 9 year old if I buy 10-12 year size will it be ok on her**
A: I bought a size 10-12 for my 9 year old grand daughter, the idea being that she could possibly get some more use out of it!  I was born in war time and find it amusing that we are paying for these things but there was insufficient time to make anything,  The hat and bag were way over the top fort he period. We mostly wore cut downs made form adult dresses due to shortage of material in the war itself and shortage of cash beforehand.  Margaret McDougald

A: Not tried washing but if you must try hand washng - a dying useful art!

A: I washed the dress. I just removed the tag and the bag as I didn’t think they would wash. The dress was fine after a 30 degree quick wash

After reading reviews on other outfits, I thought I'd get something cheap and nasty. But I was pleasantly surprised. Material is thin, so you may want tights if wearing in winter. My daughter is very slim and about average height, so I bought size 10-12. (age 10 when she wore it). It fitted perfectly and she really did look the part with the extras that came with the dress. Good value for money !

I had to buy this as my daughter was having an evacuee day with her school year. It's a great outfit, and good quality... she wouldn't wear the hat sadly as she's not keen on hats. But the hat and little bag was a nice finishing touch, and made it look the part.
